About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable Joiner’s Mate to assist with the installation of decking and fencing. This is a hands-on outdoor role suited to someone with practical experience in groundworks or carpentry-related tasks.
Duties
- Assisting the lead joiner with the installation of timber decking and fencing
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials as directed
- Digging post holes and setting fence posts
- Loading/unloading materials and keeping the work area tidy and safe
- Basic use of hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels)
- General labouring duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a joiner’s mate, labourer, or in groundworks/landscaping preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Own PPE (steel toe boots, hi-vis) preferred; site-specific PPE may be provided
- Physically fit — role involves manual handling, digging, and lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team
- CSCS card desirable but not essential
