We are currently looking for a Factory Labourer for a busy contract in Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Duties include

• Wrap door parts in preparation for despatch .
• Construct wood pallets as per instruction.
• Move materials in accordance with safe manual handling standards
• Use a Counterbalance FLT
• Measuring and cutting metals for door construction
• Assisting Welders
• Paint and prep plates, guides, etc…
• Complete basic assembly tasks.
• Assembly and dismantling of racking
• Keeping site tidy and safe
• Loading, lifting and tidy up of stores area
• General tidy up of metal products both in yard and factory site
• General labouring tasks detailed by the Production Controller.
• Sorting and packing goods in a factory yard
• Working both inside and outside
• Helping as a floater where and when required in the site within manufacturing areas

The person

• Must be happy working inside and outside in a factory yard
• Have Labouring experience in a similar environment – please note that this is a factory environment and not a construction site
• Have previous measuring and cutting experience in particular with metals
• Be able to lift and load
• Hold a Counterbalance Forklift licence
• Be able to work unsupervised
• Be able to work on own initiative

This role will be permanent for the right person
