Job Summary
We are currently looking to recruit for 2 x Casework Officer’s to join our team based within Sunderland on a Full Time, Temporary basis.
Duties
- Make decisions on claims for Discretionary Housing Payments and Local Welfare Provision in line with defined policies, DWP guidelines, and business processes.
- Manage a caseload of new and repeat customers, ensuring timely reviews, recalls, and appropriate customer support.
- Maintain accurate data records to support management.
- Ensure all case files are detailed, accurate, and contain the required documentation.
- Deliver excellent customer service when responding to enquiries and complaints, providing clear advice and support that leads to positive outcomes.
- Provide strong administrative across the department.
Skills
- Proficient computer skills, including typing speed and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- You have previous experience in a similar casework, customer service, or benefits administration role.
- You hold five GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths.
